Concord Music Group hired The Owner's Rep to coordinate the relocation and construction of their new headquarters in downtown Nashville, Tennessee. The office space covered 58,500 square feet and two entire floors of a brand new, nine-story Class A office building.
The Owner's Rep was integral in the space planning on this project, as Concord was nearly tripling their previous office size, as well as relocating their headquarters from Los Angeles along with numerous employees.
We were tasked with meeting with each department to determine their needs, then work with the selected architect, Line's Architecture, to create a layout that met the existing needs and also allowed for a considerable amount of expansion.
Brasfield & Gorrie was selected as the general contractor and the construction took approximately nine months to complete.
The pandemic hit Nashville right in the middle of this project and created a number of unforeseen challenges. Concord's prior office was entirely shut down and all employees were made remote in March of 2020.
The Owner's Rep was tasked with hiring professional packers and movers, and having 100+ employees offices, workstations, common areas and break rooms completely packed then stored in order to relocate all existing furniture upon completion of the new headquarters.
It was an incredibly successful project that was completed on-time and on-budget, even in the face of a global shutdown.
The Owner's Rep has maintained an excellent relationship with Concord and is currently still assisting them on various facility-related projects.
